THE PROPERTY

This new development at the University Hospital Heidelberg costing around EUR 100 million houses the Gynaecological Clinic and the Skin Clinic. The five-storey building was opened in June 2013. It is connected with the Childrens’ Clinic that was already present on this site.

THE PLANNING

The interior colour scheme devised by designer Sylvia Leydecker emphasises warm, strong hues. Together with light-coloured wood, this produces a cosy ambience to promote the patients’ sense of well-being. The principal selected fittings, thermostats and showers from HANSA to furnish the bathroom facilities – for HANSA’s values in terms of safety and hygiene are especially important in the medical context.

OUR CONTRIBUTION

Washbasin fittings from the HANSAMEDICA series were used in the labour ward and the operating theatres. The HANSAPRISMA and HANSATEMPRA thermostats used in patient baths ensure the highest degree of safety thanks to the integrated scalding protection. The showers are additionally equipped with low-aerosol HANSAMEDIJET hand showers.
